Home means everything
Meet joe & jody
This is their story.

Joe, a 15-year U.S. Navy veteran, and his wife Jody, had been renting their home for over 15 years. This is also home to Jody’s sister Jen, who lives with them due to a disability, and their beloved dog. This was a family home, one full of warm memories and lots of love.

Joe was still recovering from a severe injury when he suffered a heart attack that led to quadruple bypass surgery. In the midst of recovering Joe’s health, they received news that the house would be sold. They had just 30 days to leave their home of 15 years.
The video shows how they took their hardship, rolled up their sleeves, and turned it into homeownership.

Their story is one of inspiring perseverance and resilience. Jody and Joe found a way to use their VA benefits to get a loan and stay in the home they loved.

Here at loanDepot, we had the privilege of helping write this chapter of Joe and Jody’s story. If you’re a veteran, we’d love to help you write yours, too.

30 Days To Vacate
15 Years Worth of Memories

With no savings for a down payment and facing struggles finding a loan, Jody and Joe faced the unimaginable: they had just 30 days to leave their home of 15 years. This is their story, one that would become a testament to their resilience.

Joe and Jody didn’t live here alone. This was also home to Jodi’s sister Jen, who lives with them due to a disability, and their beloved dog. This was a family home, one full of warm memories and lots of love.

Joe, a 15-year Navy veteran, was still recovering from a severe injury when he suffered a heart attack that led to quadruple bypass surgery. In the midst of recovering Joe’s health, they received news that the house would be sold.

Along came a loan officer named Ken, who did something no one else had: he listened.

Promising to do whatever it took to help, Ken's expertise in navigating the VA loan process ended up making all the difference. His dedication was more than professional; Ken had become part of Joe and Jody’s story.

Thanks to their inspiring perseverance, and with the help of a new friend, Jody and Joe used their VA benefits to get a loan and stay in the home they loved.

Congratulations, Joe, Jody and Jen. Here’s to many more years of memories, you deserve this.
